Dilip Chhabria is a pioneer in Indian Car Customization. He worked as a team member of the General Motors design team in USA. He made the first prototype of Aston Martin Vanquish which appeared in James Bond Movie "Die Another Day".
                                         In 2006, Chhabria announced DCStar, tie-up between Eximstar  and Dilip Chhabria Design Pvt Ltd. The company, to be set up in Dubai, will customize cars and other vehicles to suit customers' requirements. He has designed Vanity Van for many stars such as Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan. He has also designed the car used in the movie Taarzan: The Wonder Car directed by Abbas-Mustan. In 2010 he designed a special version of Tata Nano. In August 2012 DC gave a complete external and internal make over to Mahindra XUV 500 with seating chairs made to recline up to 150 degrees and enhanced lounge lighting.

                     What is Customization ??

Car customization is modification of the performance or appearance of a vehicle. Most vehicles leave the factory set up for an average driver's expectations and conditions. Customization, on the other hand, has become a way to personalize the characteristics of a vehicle to the owner's preference. Cars may be altered to provide better fuel economy, produce more power, or to provide better handling and for cool out look.

Car tuning is related to auto racing, although most performance cars never compete. Tuned cars are built for the pleasure of owning and driving. Exterior modifications include changing the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle via side skirts, front and rear bumpers, spoilers, splitters, air vents and light weight alloy wheels.
